Software Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript - React.js/Node.js) | 💰Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Equity

Onsi supports businesses in enhancing the financial wellbeing of their workers through payments, rewards, and insurance. Focused on businesses with gig and shift workers, Onsi is underpinned by a tiered programme to boost engagement and retention, helping businesses achieve their key metrics.

A brief overview:

As a Software Engineer at Onsi, you will build and maintain scalable web applications and services; monitor, test, and continuously optimise our systems; and deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code.

What you will do:

• Take broad and ambiguous problems and turn them into delightful products.
• Develop new, scalable features spanning both the front end and back end.
• Build reusable components/services for future use.
• Work with a team of highly skilled engineers, often pairing on interesting challenges (we don’t work in silos!)
• Investigate, resolve and mitigate service-impacting events.
• Partner with product, engineering, and design to oversee the development of a product from problem definition, and conception to launch (and then some).

You will need:

• You are highly proficient in TypeScript, being well versed in ReactJS as well as some experience in NodeJS.
• You are experienced in integrating with RESTful APIs.
• Base level knowledge of CICD flows (We use GitHub actions).

Nice to have:

• Industry experience in a regulated space (Fintech, Financial Services, Insurtech).
• Practical experience with AWS, as well as some experience with some of its components such as ECS, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway.
• Have an understanding of how Docker containers work.
