About The Role

As we expand the Seqera Platform, our flagship Enterprise SaaS, we’re looking for a technical Product Manager who’ll be responsible for managing the continued integration of Nextflow pipelines directly in our product suite and managing new initiatives from ideation to delivery.
In close collaboration with both our internal Customer Success and Scientific Development teams, and directly with our diverse Enterprise customers across the globe, you will be responsible for defining and delivering new platform initiatives and features. Your role will encompass analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of our platform, providing business and customer context to technical discussions with executive leadership through to software engineers, and championing the various initiatives you are responsible for. This position reports to the Product team, which consists of diverse Product Managers, Designers, Web Developers, and Technical Writers remotely located across the globe.

What You'll Do
- Collaborate with our customer success team and directly with our Platform customers, bringing user context to technical discussions, design, and determination of roadmap priorities.
- Negotiate competing priorities between leadership, engineering, and various customer groups.
- Collaborate with our Engineering team to determine resource requirements, knowledge gaps, and delivery timelines to maintain our rapid pace of growth and customer satisfaction.
- Define and own key performance indicators for your responsible components.
About You
- 3+ years Product Management experience specifically related to bioinformatics or life sciences Enterprise SaaS.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, product management skills, excellent communication skills, and a clear understanding of how software engineers build, manage and deploy their infrastructure and applications.
- Ability to influence people across the organization, from technical leadership to business managers, by creating win-win solutions, and the desire to be an individual contributor to support Seqera's flagship platform.
- Manage competing needs of multiple internal and external customer groups and create certainty out of ambiguity while having a firm grasp over the operational and technical aspects of the platform infrastructure and security.
- Prior experience using product/project management SaaS for overseeing the software development lifecycle (e.g. JIRA, Asana, Trello, Github).
- Expertise with public cloud platforms, with advanced skills in at least one of the following: AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with containerized application development environments (e.g. Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Gitpod).
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, natural sciences, or a related field.
- Prior experience building web applications using Java, Python, Go, or C#.
- Prior experience using Git.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud/on-prem environments and High Performance Compute (HPC), and job schedulers (e.g. Slurm).
- Prior experience with bioinformatics or biotechnology.
- Current public cloud platform certification.
