About The Role

Join our tech team as a Mid-Level Frontend Engineer and help combat climate change. We verify the science behind removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. You will help us build software that provides the most accurate data on the capture, conversion, and permanent storage of carbon.

You will…

• Join a squad of 2-3 engineers to get things done. No silos - launch features and build infrastructure.
• Take ownership and work in a trusting, supportive ecosystem. We don't micromanage. Collaborate closely with Product and our expert team of Carbon Removal Scientists.
• Gain external exposure, working directly with carbon removal suppliers.
• Follow through on tech decisions - no half-migrated mess here.
• Learn from smart people and have an impact in a new industry of critical importance.
• Deliver high-quality, well-tested, and iterative code at pace.

You have…

• Around 2-5 years of frontend software development. A STEM background is advantageous.
• A collaborative mindset, preferring open communication and teamwork to get stuff done.
• An eagerness and curiosity to learn new things and ask questions. We are science-driven and expect everyone to get stuck into the climate world.
• Good energy and humility in how you show up. It’s a tough problem but we can’t give up.

This role might not be for you if...

• You’re looking for a fully remote role at the moment. In the early stages of building our product, we’re optimising for being physically together 3 days a week.
• You enjoy structure and only staying within your area of expertise. We’re a small team early on the journey and things change quickly as we learn more.
• You prefer a slower pace. While the problem we’re facing has a long time horizon, it’s also critical that we make meaningful progress on it today, not next quarter or year.
