Key Responsibilities
What you will do:
-
Evangelise DevOps, security and reliability engineering across the Engineering team-at-large
-
Provision resilient infrastructure across multiple regions and AZs
-
Build a reliable and featureful platform for developers leveraging Container Orchestration Platforms.
-
Build an IDP and measure and improve developer productivity and experience across the SDLC
-
Support Continuous Delivery and Deployment capabilities using CICD pipelines and GitOps tooling
-
Enable shifting left on security and testing
-
Develop the service mesh to offer advanced security and progressive delivery features
-
Cost optimise infra through rightsizing and creating ephemeral envs
-
Work with developers to improve the security, reliability and performance of their applications
-
Proactively monitor for security and reliability using Observability tooling including Security Signals, APM, tracing and infrastructure metrics and logs

Durably engineer away toil

Our ideal candidate has production experience with most of the following:
-
Kubernetes container orchestration platform with an understanding of the API, Operator pattern, Helm charts and releases
-
Writing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, considering internal and external modularisation, multi-environment branching strategies, state manipulation, working to multiple versions
-
Building cloud-native and serverless applications in a distributed architecture on Kubernetes and Service Mesh
-
Delivering applications and infrastructure continuously using CI/CD tools such as CircleCI
-
Troubleshooting and debugging applications using APM metrics and tracing across microservices and serverless applications
-
Designing, tracking and testing to SLOs
Bonus Points for experience with:
-
Development and testing strategies for Kubernetes
-
Development and testing strategies for Terraform
-
Production experience with advanced Service Mesh capabilities
-
Production experience developing Kubernetes Operators
-
Production experience with OSS API Gateways and Ingress controllers
-
Chaos Engineering to SLOs and Error Budgets
-
Hashistack including Vault, Boundary
-
Implementing Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DRP) plans including tracking RTO and RPO
-
CryptoCurrency domain knowledge and infrastructure experience running Currency Daemons, integrating provider APIs
-
Software Engineering using a high level language
